'client identifier' is a tweakable item in OSX's network configuration
widget.  The converse situation is also possible then - where a user
configured any client identifier and did not inform their network booting
agent (or more accurately, the network booting agent has no setting).

I'd be happy to look at raw packet traces.  dhcp-bugs at isc.org as usual.


I'm also sitting in the peering BOF at NANOG 37 right now down at the
San Jose convention center.  Just a general announcement in case anyone
wants to take advantage of the opportunity for some high-bandwidth
exchanges.
