I'm keenly interested in this.

The thread's author wants to know what tools exist for DHCPv6, so I
hope we won't face a dhcp-users uprising if I allow you to say what
you wish about what tools Cisco can supply specifically for DHCPv6.

At least from my point of view, it's important to consider where an
open source DHCPv6 implementation would sit in the current landscape.

Just try and keep it black and white, no four-color glossies.

I'm interested in any tidbit of information that would help make my
mental image of an ISC DHCPv6 software package more clear.

In particular that means I want to know what worked and what didn't
for operators ("dhcp-users") just as much as the original author of
this thread (which I'm trying very hard not to hijack out of my own
interests).

If you have more 'programmer' advice you'd like to share, I'm also
interested but dhcp-hackers at isc.org might be more topical (and it
would be a strange sensation for there to be activity there).
