Cleaning up INN2.2.2 due to duplicate messages?

I check the above about 30 minutes ago but the news.daily ran at 3am
this morning so I guess it would have finished by now... :-) The
results were from that news.daily report.
I get this result from telnetting to my news server as you suggested:
GROUP uk.media.dvd
211 7094 67921 75105 uk.media.dvd
I guess the 7094 is the figure we're all interested in. I tested
Netscape Communicator and Free Agent newsreaders and they both tried to
download 7000+ articles initially but retrieved around 500. I know that
I can't see 7000+ articles via the newsreader, so I'm assuming that
either the article exists but I can't access it or there is a marker or
header somewhere that isn't getting updated or deleted properly.
Perhaps the overview corruption I had last week had something to do with
it?
