It sounds like you either have spoolfirst set in inn.conf or nnrpd can't
find the local socket to talk to innd.  The articles should get posted
directly to the newsgroup and then will go into the outgoing feed for
rpost to nntpsend to pick up.

A workaround is to run rnews -U periodically from cron, but it would be
better to determine why nnrpd can't post directly.
