mail to news and vice versa

Hi,
        I'm looking to have a newsgroup and a mailing list attached.  I would
like to have messages posted to the newsgroup go the the list and messages 
posted to the list go to the group.  I've figured out how to do each part 
with mailpost and news2mail but I'm not sure how to prevent a loop.  I can see
solutions where I could stop it after the second message has gone to the list,
but I would like to prevent any overlap.  Any ideas?  I'm relatively new to 
inn so I'm sure I'm missing some tips and tricks.
