  Surely you don't suggest doing this after a crash as anything but a last
chance act of desparation. Rebuilding the history and overview can convert
a minor momentary outage into a many-hour disaster. At least on any
production server I've ever run, it takes hours to complete on even a few
hundred GB of articles.
