Okay, I think I have ChangeLog generation working. Note that in order to
generate the ChangeLog, you need cvs2cl, available from
<http://www.red-bean.com/~kfogel/cvs2cl.shtml>. I'll add that information
to HACKING for future information. You also need direct CVS access
(although access to a repository pulled with CVSup is sufficient).
The generation of the ChangeLog is far from perfect; fixlog does a lot of
munging to try to extract only that portion of the commit message relevant
to a given file, to try to correct for various styles of commit log
entries from different maintainers, and to otherwise make things look
readable, but there are places where it doesn't work well. But it should
be somewhat reasonable.
<http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/inn/ChangeLog> is the current version,
generated with the same parameters I'd use for the 2.3.0 release; poke at
it and let me know what you think.
