INN for local groups only

I downloaded and compiled the INN with no trouble. Now, I understand that is
just the easy part. What I want INN for is to handle local groups only (I do
not have nor want an USENET feed, I will just create my own groups and use
it as a forum/discussion).

What would be the steps to achieve what I want? What files (.conf, etc)
should I modify? Anyone knows about a HOW-TO that could explain that?
