verisign SSL certs with nrrpd

Greetings

Has anyone tried using verisign SSL certs with nnrpd? The process of
purchasing a verisign certificate involves reporting the server you
intend to use the client with. Of course, INN/nnrpd isn't on the
list. The instructions for purchasing a cert seem to imply that there
have been compatibility problems with some software. I'd like to know
if anyone has successfully used a verisign cert (or any other
commercially signed cert for that matter).
