The day that was long foretold has come.
With the release of BIND 9.6-ESV-R11, the BIND 9.6-ESV branch has
officially reached its end-of-life (EOL.)
Under ISC's policies this means that the 9.6-ESV branch will no
longer receive bug fixes and security updates.
Users of BIND 9.6-ESV are encouraged to migrate to a supported
branch. BIND 9.9 is suggested as the best choice for most users.
BIND 9.9 has been designated the replacement ESV version and ISC
is currently committed to supporting BIND 9.9 through at least
June 2017.
