BIND 9.18 EOL Alert

BIND users -

We want to remind you that this month's release, planned for June 17th, is the last maintenance release planned for BIND 9.18. After that, it will be officially EOL and unmaintained. Therefore, we urge you to make plans to migrate to 9.20 as soon as you are able to. (Our release calendar is here: https://kb.isc.org/docs/aa-00896).

We recommend you modify your procedures to permit monthly BIND updates, if possible. See the recent talk given by Petr Špaček (https://www.isc.org/blogs/2026-brace-for-upgrades/) or this blog post (https://www.isc.org/blogs/2026-05-12-bind-security-updates/) for background.
