Address already in use

I'm running two instances of BIND 8.2.1 on the same machine, listening
on different ports.  When I start the second one, I get the following
message in the log file:

named[18855]: ctl_server: bind: Address already in use

Both instances seems to work fine.  Why am I getting
the message?
