Nothing changed. If you kill -HUP under AIX 4.3.1 you won't see it but
you would see these errors if you kill and restart.

If you killl -HUP under 4.3.2 now, I bet you won't see it.

Subject: Problems Migrating named8 (BIND 8) from AIX 4.3.1 to 4.3.2

I copied /etc/named.conf and the other BIND (8) data files from one of
our existing name servers, which is running AIX 4.3.1, to a new machine
that is running AIX 4.3.2. Starting named (/usr/sbin/named8) on the
4.3.2 machine results in numerous errors like the following:

	Aug 20 11:43:38 ns3 named[12156]: Zone "0.0.127.in-addr.arpa" (file
named.local): no NS RRs found at zone top
	Aug 20 11:43:38 ns3 named[12156]: master zone "0.0.127.in-addr.arpa"
(IN) rejected due to errors (serial 1999082000)

The data files do contain NS RRs, right under the SOA RRs, so I do not
understand what is causing the errors. Any ideas? What is changed in
named8 between AIX 4.3.1 and 4.3.2?
