Parent not talking to child

What do you mean you have included the extra ns?

You really need to give us more information.

Can you show us the relevant resource records and perhaps named.boot  or
named.conf

Something is bizarre here.

You indicate you do a search on triquartz.its, but the message only says
triquartz. You need to give us the exact query and the exact message.

How exactly are you getting from the child to the parent domain?
Does the child domain server have access to the root servers?
Is the parent domain listed  with the root servers?
