If it gets a query in a *zone* for which it is authoritative (master or slave), then it will
answer directly from cache. However, if it is slave for the top-level zone of a particular
*domain* (e.g. ape.com) then it might still forward a query in that domain (e.g.
big.hairy.ape.com), if the query is in a delegated subzone (e.g. hairy.ape.com,) for which
the server is not authoritative. It is possible to turn off the default forwarding behavior
for an entire *domain* using the "forwarders {}" syntax available in BIND 8.2 and above.

P.S. Nikos, I hope you don't think me rude to point this out, but you're using "witch" where
I'm certain you mean "which" instead.
