Blocking feature of Bind 8.2.2-p5

Our Bind 8.2.2-p5 keeps blocking for about 2 hours and then it comes
back, I believe that this is a security feature. The thing is when it
blocks it does not resolve internal queries anymore (like
host.mydomain.com), but still answers external queries (like
www.lotus.com).

What can cause bind 8.2.2-p5 to block and stop answering internal
queries ?????
Is there a way of stopping this feature, it is really annoying when it
blocks, I have to stop and start it for it to come back ????

Can traffic between syslog and bind 8.2.2-p5 cause it to block ????
