DNS name convention for routers

Hi there,
There isn't any one correct name convention for naming routers.
Different entities use different nomenclature. The corporation i work
for uses the first 4 letters of the city where it's located and then
the two alphanumeric facility code.
The isp I used to work for used city name only, since there were only
one router at each POP.
It just varies on what you want to use.
