Sendmail & CPU

Hi,

This is regarding High CPU utilisation.
Sendmail  5.0/SMI-SVR4 is running on Solaris 2.5.  Observed by running
'top'
utility that CPU utilisation is high (from 5 to 30) and sendmail is using
more than half
of the CPU utilisation.  But whenever sendmail restarted
(/etc/rc2.d/S88sendmail)
observed CPU utilisation gradually decreases.
Sendmail is running in daemon mode i.e., sendmail -bd -q1h
Any Idea why sendmail is having such a high utilisation?  Anything can be
done to
avoid such a high cpu utililsation?
