Strange DNS+linuxconf problems

Hi,
I have a problem running Linuxconf, infact I'm not able anymore to run it. I
ran "gdb linuxconf" to understand what was wrong and I received a message
like "Segmentation error in dns.cc:388 that's not found in my system".
Now it is very strange, because I didn' set up any DNS service (like named).
So, what do you think should I do?
I went in www.deja.com and I found some persons who had my problem, but it
seemed they had it because of named configuration.

I' m swimming in caos, thanx for every suggestion.
