ndc reload problem

Hi ! all

I have a DNS with BIND 8.1.2.
It's O/S is SunOS 5.6.
And it's BIND is working well now.
But when I do ndc reload I got a below error message.
I don't know the reason of this message.

[ dns1 : wind : 40 ] ndc reload
named (no pid file) not running

Of course I have a named.pid file in /var/run directory.

Is there anybody who can explain or solve this problem for me?
