Following up my own message I have delegated a test domain (test.ed.ac.uk
if anyone wants to poke about with it) to Granite Canyon.
ns1.granitecanyon.com works fine; ns2 has clearly changed address because
the address returned by the servers for .COM, and by whois.internic.net
(though I'm not sure if that holds meaningful data these days) is
different from the one given out by ns1.granitecanyon.com; the old ns2
doesn't respond to DNS queries any more; the new ns2 just gives me a
SERVFAIL when I ask it anything about my domain.

ns1.granitecanyon.com is 205.166.226.38
ns2.granitecanyon.com is 208.146.254.90 according to .COM and friends
                         216.17.165.20 according ns1.granitecanyon.com

The site at <http://soa.granitecanyon.com/> is not answering so I can't
look in the various help items to see if anyone else has noticed.

Ah well, nice idea...

BTW the secondary server exchange at
<http://paul.star.co.uk/dnsmatch/index.mhtml> is also non-functional -
<http://paul.star.co.uk/> has it headed "Things that don't work..."
