MX records and multiple domains

Just put an MX record in each domain, pointing to the canonical name of the
Exchange server.

No, because all the records in a zone file have to be for names in that
domain.  So the MX record for fooa.com should be in the fooa.com file, the
MX record for foob.com should be in the foob.com file, and so on.
