Questions on RFC 2317

I'd ultimately like do to DNS for my little 3-5 node network here (I'm
planning on running some Web servers and such, and my ISP is charging
quite a bit of money to do DNS for its clients). I have an ADSL line
with 5 static IPs, so I'll have to somehow do DNS (notably reverse
lookup) for my little 5 node subnet (netmask=255.255.255.248. Throw in
the fact I'm just learnin about DNS & bind, and, well, it's sure to be
fun.

I just read RFC 2317, in the hopes that it would explain how to do
what I want. However, I didn't reallt understand it. For starters, I
can't decipher this . . .

" Let us assume we have assigned the address spaces to three different
parties as follows:

           192.0.2.0/25 to organization A
           192.0.2.128/26 to organization B
           192.0.2.192/26 to organization C"

Sounds silly, but what do those slashes mean? They seem crucial to the
whole RFC, but they have me lost.

More broadly, it seems that what I have to do is CNAMES for each of my
5 nodes that map to the appropriate in-addr.arpa address. Is that
really all?

Sorry if these sound inane . . . I'm struggling to sound intelligent
in this wonderful new field.
