isc may be correct, in fact, but an acronym finder is not universally
useful here.

README files are your friend!  They tell me that irs is Paul Vixie's
Information Retrieval Service, and dst is TIS' Domain Signature Tools,
adapted by John Gilmore.

bsd is probably a re-implementation of some bsd C library routines;
similarly for inet Internet library routines.  Cylink is a company that
makes encrypting network devices, and contributed some crypto code to
the cause; dnssafe similar from RSA Data Security, Inc.
