company A resolving internal names on company B

The only thing to co-ordinate about a stub zone is to obtain one or more
addresses from which to replicate the stub. You don't even need to be
added to the master's "allow-transfer" because the stub mechanism doesn't
use AXFR queries. Any way you do this, you're going to have to
co-ordinate with the other company someway somehow -- stubs seem like the
easiest, most lightweight way to get things working.
