(1) The sortlist only affects the order in which that particular server
presents the names.  It does not affect how another server (say, a
different one in your shop that the MS users use) presents them.  And
it does not affect what your programs do with them once they get them.

(2) You should know by now that MS does what they please, neither
asking nor telling anyone.
