"sysquery" error

I am getting the following error message every few seconds on my primary
for "creighton.edu".

The exact error message is:

Dec 13 14:03:08 cuname named[25928]: sysquery: findns error (NXDOMAIN) on bluebi
rd1.creighton.edu?

"bluebird1" was a W2K controller for the "creighton.edu" W2K domain, it was
removed from the earth and rebuilt as the controller and primary (W2K) for
"ad.creighton.edu".

I discovered the errors when I went in to make the "ad" delegation--I don't
when they started--they continue still after  the delegation is (seemingly)
up-and-working.

Here ends all that I understand and most of what I know.

What to the pieces of the error mean?  (Or more importantly, where is that
documented--I have not yet found it?)

Any clues as to who is making the provoking query?
