Mark was instrumental in getting me up and running (i.e., massive kudos to
Mark). I was very interested in the split DNS stuff and wanted to start
experimenting with views and such. I needed to bring up a new set of DNS
servers for experimentation, and decided to make the move to 9.0.1 to begin
to get a feel for it.

It was painful, but this group, as always, provided the salve to sooth the
wounds.

The web page stuff in the distribution (arm directory, I believe) was very
helpful in a lot of ways and got me close. As with everything, the devil is
in the details, and for a product this "new", I don't really expect all the
documentation to cover every little thing.

The only problems that remain are in the two DNS servers communicating with
one another, and I figure the major problem is that I have several
firewalls between the two, and packets aren't flowing like they should.
But, named is running w/o errors, and I have it bound to non-standard ports
for listening on multiple interfaces. So, color me a happy camper.

Again, thanks to the group at large and specific thanks to Mark for the
aid. Hopefully, I can return the favor to another migrator some day.
