Upgrading Bind 8.1.2 to BIND 8.2.2 Patch 5

I am running this version of BIND on SuSE Linux 6.1  I have downloaded
bind-src.tar.gz from ftp.isc.org and untarred it.  I am about to run the
MAKE INSTALL command.  Can anyone think of any reason why this shouldn't
work on my companies nameservers?!?!  Presumbably I just issue a NDC restart
command after the files are copied across????

Any help much appreciated....
