There wouldn't be much point in having resource records if they weren't
queryable.	:-)

David Shaw's example above shows how to use dig to retrieve A records.

My favorite DNS client is nslookup. If you'd want to use nslookup to check
the NS records for "csf.nl.", you'd do "nslookup -q=NS csf.nl.". You could
also specify the server of your choice, e.g. "nslookup -q=NS csf.nl.
ns.csf.nl."
