many (most?) mailer servers  will fail to deliver mail when the domain name
doesn't resolve. If you run a secondary nameserver offsite at granitecanyon, then
mail will be queued when your link is down (assuming your mail server is onsite,
if the mailserver is also offsite it will be delivered).  However if your DNS
goes down when the link goes down, mail will be rejected back to the sender when
the link is down.
