3rd Edition came out September 1998 and covers up to 8.1.2.  The
named.conf options give you a lot more flexibility than named.boot, but
security is tighter.  8.2.2-P5 is documented on-line.  Cricket was
working on 4th Edition, last I heard, but may be waiting for BIND 9 to
come out?
