Hello!

It means that the hosts are trying to do dynamic updates, unapproved means that 
the uppdates were not successful .) So it's not a bad thing.
I found these messages in my log confusing at first...

Those hosts are probably running Windows 2000, because the dynamic update 
feature is enabled by default in W2K, you might want to ask the Admins for these 
hosts to disable the DDNS so that your logs won't get clogged by these 
messages...
