upgrading from Bind 8.1.x to 8.2.2patch 5

Hi 

I 'm upgrading my bind in Linux from 8.1.x to 8.2.2patch5.

But before upgrading is it necessary to uninstall the older version

If so , could you pls help me in getting the procedure for removing the
older
version.
