Newbie: Having problems with bind8/WinNt 4.0

Query logs are of little use in trying to troubleshoot name-resolution
problems. You'd be better off turning on debugging.

As for your question about "www.gremlins.com.hrnet.de", that's probably
caused by your client's "search" algorithm. When it fails to get an answe=
r
to "www.gremlins.com" it appends the "default domain" (or I think they ca=
ll
it a "search suffix" in WinTelLand) and tries that query instead. It's
quite normal.
