Some DHCP servers can make use of the Dynamic DNS (DDNS) ability of BIND
8.2.2P5. Once DHCP assigns an IP address to a newly booted computer it
dynamically updates the DDNS with the IP address and host name correlation.

I wonder whether it is possible to have bind automatically fed with
host data which are on a local subnet. I've just started playing with
bind8, and found that all ip numbers should be specified in the
(statical) database files.
Is it somehow possible that an arbitrary host on a local ethernet is
recognised by bind (e.g. during bootp / dhcp ip assignment) without
having to manipulate the database files ?
