Hello, All,
I'm trying to take advantage of one the more obscure (at least to me)
RRs, the TXT record. When used it does not appear to be working as
expected. Here is my zone file...
========================================================================
;$origin srofa.com.
IN A 208.196.169.114
IN MX 10 smtp.lansoft.net.
www IN A 208.196.169.114
IN TXT "web05"
========================================================================
and this is what I get when I do an ANY query through NSLOOKUP on
www.srofa.com...
========================================================================
> server ns.allegro.net
Default Server: ns.allegro.net
Address: 204.253.83.10
> set query=any
> www.srofa.com
Server: ns.allegro.net
Address: 204.253.83.10
www.srofa.com internet address = 208.196.169.114
www.srofa.com text =
"web05"
========================================================================
Does anyone know why it is adding all of those extra lines in the
'text' field? Am I using the right syntax here? Just for the record
this is a Microsoft DNS...
Thanks In Advance,
