Here's what i get:

[mauri at HAL9000:~]$ nslookup -q=ns jrentertainment.net
Server: localhost
Address: 127.0.0.1

Non-authoritative answer:
jrentertainment.net nameserver = NS0.DIRECTNIC.COM
jrentertainment.net nameserver = NS1.DIRECTNIC.COM

Authoritative answers can be found from:
NS0.DIRECTNIC.COM internet address = 208.178.184.56
NS1.DIRECTNIC.COM internet address = 165.113.62.224

I think there's two problems: first you can't ask a root server for a
recursive query (such as www.jrentertainment.net, you can just ask
them who's autorithative for ".net" gTLD), the second is the configuration
of your resolver, which tries www.jrentertainment.net.crtc.edu.

Hope this helps.
