RFC 2052 (SRV) has been implemented since BIND 4.9.5. RFC 2052
makes no changes w.r.t. server behaviour over RFC 1183.
RFC 1995 (IXFR) the implementation in 8.2.2-P5 is broken and
has been redone for 8.2.3.
RFC 2136 (UPDATE) BIND 8 slave servers do not forward requests,
BIND 8.2.2-P5 returns REFUSED in these cases, BIND 8.2.3 returns
NOTIMPL. Master servers have a full implementation.
