New on solaris configuration...

To start the named at the startup do I need following both linses in the
inetd.conf or one is enough?

name dgram udp wait root /usr/sbin/in.named in.named
name stream tcp wait root /usr/sbin/in.named in.named

 Hi Andres,

I downloaded the source from www.isc.org, then unzipped and
untarred the file. I then stopped my current running named daemon. I
read through the file called "INSTALL" and did as instructed. Once the
new version was compiled, I started up the named daemon. I ran a quick
test to make sure I could resolve, then checked /var/log/messages for
any problems. I also checked the version as well. That's it. Worked
like a charm :-)
