bind-8.2.2_p7 chrooted / named-xfer fails (sigpipe)

 Hi everyone. First post on the list :)

 I have a bind-8.2.2P7 running perfectly, chrooted,
except for the zone-transfers; I get these kind of messages
in the logs:

ns named[30012]: named-xfer "domain.com" exited with signal
13


I have verified that, running the named-xfer by hand, it
works like a
charm.

 The chroot'ed environment contains the following:

/chroot/dns/etc/named.conf
/chroot/dns/var/named/misc dns data files
/chroot/dns/lib/ld-linux.so.2
/chroot/dns/lib/libc.so.6
/chroot/dns/
/chroot/dns/usr/sbin/named-xfer
/chroot/dns/var/log/misc logfiles


And I start bind with this cmdline:

daemon named -u named -g named -t /chroot/dns

 Does anyone have a clue?
