ARGH! response to localhost, no response to remote hosts

I don't understand where this is coming from. nslookup only shows one
authoritative server for the zone:

# nslookup
Default Server:  localhost
Address:  127.0.0.1

> set q=ns
> newzletter.com
Server:  localhost
Address:  127.0.0.1

newzletter.com  nameserver = rockwell.canlink.com
rockwell.canlink.com    internet address = 216.13.90.50

How can dig be getting anything differant?
