Bind 9.0.0 error "label too long"

I just attempted to upgrade to Bind 9.0.0. Every time I invoke named it
dies, stating that it encountered a "label too long" problem within the
zone file. A copy of my syslog files appear below. Bind was compiled
under Linux 2.2.17 and is running on a system with plenty of resources (800
mHz, 512 mb RAM).

I've pretty much exhausted every idea I had to identify the source of the
problem, including totally eliminating everything other than the SOA field
from the RR, with no success. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
