No, it shouldn't be necessary.  If you only have one public IP address,
you're probably using an ISP that doesn't offer customized reverse DNS.
This shouldn't be a problem.  The reverse lookup will resolve to some name
in their domain, and that shouldn't be a problem.  Having multiple names
resolve to the same address is OK, and the reverse DNS only needs to
resolve to one of them.
