Bind 8.2.3 hanging

The last "lame" message occurs more than 10 minutes prior to the next log
message; what makes you think it's related to the hang?

I think you need to upgrade to at least BIND 8.2.5 before anyone will be
interested in helping you troubleshoot this problem. This may be a bug that was
fixed quite a while ago.
