I too have had bind 9.1.0 lock up on a FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE machine. I
only installed it yesterday. I was running at as user bind. I thought
that may have been the reason. I am now running it as root. If it
locks tonight, then I too will be forced to go back to 8.x

Any ideas would be nice.

Andrew.
