BIND9.1.0 not resolving

We recently went to BIND9.1.0 from BIND8.2.1...we have 3 domains...x.com,
y.com and z.com...BIND8.2.1 would resolve host names to each domain...ie
nslookup on host abc would resolve to abc.y.com, etc...since we went to
BIND9.1.0, nslookup will only resolve the first domain...ie host def will
resolve to def.x.com, but cannot find abc (which is in the y.com
domain)...what am I missing in the setup of BIND9.1.0...thanks in
advance...Jerry
