legal hostnames in zone files

Yeah, I found the check-names option. Apparently, our site
wasn't as RFC compliant as I was led to believe.

         What you are missing are the standards.  It has never been legal to
have
   underscores in names. BIND 8.2.3 is just checking the names against the
   standards and rejecting illegal names.
