creating new zones on bind 9.1.0

Hello,

I have a bind 9.1.0 running  (it work fine) but anytime I create a new zone 
is necessary to restart the daemon, nrdc doesn't have a command for simply 
loading a new zone (in Bind 8.x.x there was "ndc reconfig" for this purpose).
The machine where Bind 9.1.0 reside maintain about 2000 zones (!!) and 
every day  I  add  several new ones....is there a tool to do that without 
"hang" the host?
