how to make my DNS server visible to others

   I found, that if the hostname of the DNS server does not have the suffix of the domain it is authority for, they do not accept the host entry in the registration. One reason for this odd behaviour could be that I did not have the in-addr.arpa name delegated to me.

More likely, the problem is that you're not one of the technical contacts
for the domain that the hostname is in.  In order to register a host
xxx.domain.com, you must own the domain.com domain.  If you own the
domain.com domain then you can register the host, and then use it as the
nameserver for other domains.

This will happen if you have a hostname assigned by your ISP and you try to
register it as a nameserver.
